Master Agent Joins Forces with LifeSize to Extend Video Conferencing Capabilities
Telecommunications play an important role in the success of any company, regardless of size. But selecting the right solutions to fit the need of the organization can be a challenge. With the help of a master agent, the process is streamlined and purchasing managers have access to deals and solutions that may otherwise be out of reach.
Windstream (News - Alert) is a master agent with a long line of products and services that are of great value in the telecommunications industry. The company, according to this Channel Partners Online report, recently announced its partnership with LifeSize (News - Alert) Communications, which offer solutions that address video conferencing.
The master agent saw the potential in offering video conferencing equipment as the mobile enterprise industry is beginning to explode. The capability of LifeSize is not limited to just a cubicle experience – the equipment under the LifeSize solution reaches out to full conference rooms as well. Smaller and rural businesses won’t be left out on this round of technology as the equipment is engineered to handle slow connection speeds, down to 1 mbps.
LifeSize is a division of the well-known tech company, Logitech (News - Alert). The high definition video conferencing solutions offered by LifeSize are now accessible to Windstream customers. The goal of the company is to make video conferencing universal, while reaching a new audience with the innovative systems and software applications they offer.
Companies that have board rooms equipped with full HD 1080p monitors are able to leverage LifeSize’s solution to make those face-to-face conference calls. It not only adds value to the conference, but saves companies considerable costs in terms of travel expenses.
This is not a Skype (News - Alert) experience, but instead full HD, which means conference calls are going to be as close to being physically face-to-face as possible, without the pixilated, lagging images and audio that many associate with common video conferencing options.
It wasn’t that long ago that if an employee needed to give a presentation to a large group of people from remote areas, the only option was to set up a conference at some future date where everyone could fly or drive in and sit in the same room.
With LifeSize’s video conferencing capabilities, the presenter today can sit alone and present the various materials over a streaming HD video channel that streams out to a variety of boardrooms in several locations. The service also includes a tool that allows the conference to be recorded for those who were completely indisposed on the hour of the live conference.
Windstream, a master agent, said in a news release recently that the partnership with LifeSize is a step in the right direction to bring the best technology available to its growing list of customers. The master agent already has robust IP network solutions as well as Ethernet and Internet services that are high speed. With more than 115,000 miles of fiber optic network routes across the U.S., the company brings VoIP, MPLS, and SIP trunking to the list of solutions available.
