Gartner Recognizes UCaaS Provider

Star2Star was one of 19 companies named in Gartner’s Critical Capabilities for Unified Communications (News - Alert) as a Service report published earlier this month. The company score in the top 6 in small and midmarket use cases.
The company’s score represents the growing trend toward UCaaS. With many smaller businesses upgrading to VoIP, they’ve found that they can dispense with their old phone lines altogether and run all their communications through the Internet, even things like faxes.
Hosted solutions are the next logical step. Smaller businesses tend to lack the IT expertise that enterprise businesses have to set up and maintain UC systems. It makes a lot of sense for these companies to go with a provider that will take care of the installation, integration and maintenance for them.
Star2Star bills itself as the most scalable provider with its cloud-based offering. Cloud UC systems have a lot of appeal to call centers wanting to add the ability to handle customer service requests by email and text messaging in addition to phone calls while being able to add and remove call center workers from the system easily.
The company has landed in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant before, and closer to home, TMC (News - Alert) has recognized the company several times. TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine recently named Star2Star one of the 2015 Unified Communications Excellence Award Winners.
