Vology Acquires Bayshore Technologies

VARs (Value Added Resellers) are well known in the IT industry. Often, VARs help clients get a complete product at an affordable price.

Realizing the opportunities in this field, Vology has announced that the company has acquired Bayshore Technologies to create the First Hybrid SuperVAR. With this acquisition, the company will now have more than 200 employees and looks to produce more than $140 million in revenue in 2013. Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.


The new company will still be named Vology, while Bayshore Technologies will work as the firm's professional services delivery division. While CEO of Bayshore Technologies, Peter Anderson will be senior vice president of Vology, Barry Shevlin, CEO of Vology will continue as CEO. 

Vology helps its clients get the best value on the enterprise IT solutions that are perfect for their business. The company provides the complete range of products, services, expertise and support to cater to their business problems and their budgets.

“With the addition of Bayshore Technologies' service delivery capabilities, Vology has created what is best described as a Hybrid SuperVAR, a unique business model that allows enterprises to maximize their IT infrastructure budgets through one relationship by combining the best qualities from traditional VARs, super VARs and certified pre-owned offerings," said Barry Shevlin, CEO of Vology. "This is a combination that is unique within the industry, providing minimal customer overlap, complementary vendor portfolios, complimentary services and similar corporate values. We cannot be happier about this.”

In August 2012, the company acquired Oklahoma City-based Sooner Network Solutions, Inc., a specialist in new and pre-owned networking solutions. The transaction was effective Aug. 1, 2012. According to the company, apart from having experience selling high-end networking solutions with considerable discounts from manufacturers like Cisco (News - Alert), Sooner shares its commitment to speed, service, price and reliability. Vology offers quality products with same-day or next-day shipping on most items.
