Agent Agreements Lead to Greater Innovation for the End User
Partnerships in communications are nothing new, but when two companies join forces for the betterment of the industry, key players sit up and pay attention.
One of the latest involves Fast and Certero, a PC power management and Software Asset Management (SAM) company. The former will act as a reseller for Certero, offering the company’s full line of solutions for enterprise SAM.
A recent ARN piece highlights the partnership as Fast will serve as an agent for Certero, providing the AssetStudio V4. This latest iteration is designed to address the complexities inherent in SAM by providing 10 modules selected individually or to work together.
Fast is an agent company providing education, software, managed services and consulting for SAM and IT compliance. According to John Lunt, Certero managing director, the company is excited to be working together with Fast.
The collaboration will combine the key strength of Certero’s product’s with the broad range of certifications and programs Fast offers.
Matthew Barnes, managing director for Fast, noted that the modular approach to a completely integrated SAM solution is expected to deliver innovative new features and benefits that until now were not available to Fast customers.
Barnes went on to highlight that the combination of Fast’s experience and Certero’s products will enhance the company’s capabilities in delivering optimized SAM solutions and risk management across multiple vendors and platforms. This will ultimately drive down IT costs while also saving time – two top priorities for companies seeking to enhance operations.
In other agent news, TMC (News - Alert) reported on an earlier partnership formed between Google (News - Alert) and NeoNova. The latter was named by the search giant as a Premier SMB Reseller of the Google Apps collaboration and communication tools.
This partnership will allow customers to evaluate the proficiency and implementation capabilities of a reseller through a simplified process.
With NeoNova, technology providers and agents can provide a fixed price to SMBs, demonstrating their value when compared with in-house offerings. SMBs can easily move to the cloud when working with NeoNova, leveraging a business domain, adaptation for end-users, administrative interface, end-use training, and incorporated Web-based training.
Absolute backup solutions for all data within Google Apps are also provided by NeoNova.
CEO Ray Carvey noted that the company has a history of helping its customers to keep ahead of innovation in the market. Today, this innovation means moving to the cloud and Google Apps is considered a cornerstone of what it means for the SMB to embrace the technology and benefits of the cloud.
They also provide a way for organizations to test the viability of the cloud without significant commitments, a key to successful migration to the cloud.
