Master Agent Intelisys Now Offering Free Cloud Courses
As of late, it appears that a majority of businesses are utilizing some form of cloud-based services to help achieve cost savings and make optimum use of precious resources like time, space, and personnel. The cloud can also help maximize productivity. If you aren’t sure how to implement cloud services or how to contact a master agent for help, Intelisys has a solution.
Intelisys, a master agent of telecom services is providing a host of cloud educational courses for IT professionals and value-added resellers (VARs) completely gratis, according to this report in The VAR Guy. Yes, you read that correctly – free.
Classes will soon be offered twice a month at Polycom (News - Alert) Learning Centers across 11 major cities throughout the country. Some of the cities hosting classes include Atlanta, Ga.; Austin, Tex.; New York City, N.Y.; Irving, Tex.; and Santa Clara, Calif. – just to name a few.
Andrew Pryfogle, who serves as senior vice president for Intelisys, says the classes are meant to help clear up some of the questions and common misconceptions regarding cloud services. The telecom master agent wants to help those longing to take advantage of untapped benefits waiting to be exploited in the cloud by increasing their comfort level with the technology.
Course topics will range from how to utilize the cloud for sales and VoIP services to properly recognizing cloud solutions and how best to package and sell them. The courses are part of Intelisys’s entire program of cloud learning, which the tech master agent refers to as Cloud Services University.
If you are a value-added reseller, you might be asking yourself, what’s in it for me? Through courses offered by Intelisys, VARs are able to quickly and easily add cloud-based services to the mix of offerings they currently have available, all on Intelisys’ dollar.
The company eventually hopes to offer certification courses and to extend learning to the Internet by incorporating classes into webinars, which can be viewed in real-time or pre-taped.Pryfogle says that anyone taking the classes will gain the necessary tools to start selling cloud-based services right away.
The courses were designed to help mesh telco and cable offerings with a cloud approach to sales. Jay Bradley, president of Intelisys, notes that the cloud will not be optional but obligatory just five years down the road. Intelisys’ classes help businesses prepare for the future by familiarizing team members with the technology now.
Intelisys purchased the Cloud Services Coalition last March, an organization known for its experience with cloud-based solutions. The growing master agent of telecom offerings then established Cloud Services and Complex Bids, two companies designed to assist business partners design, manage, and install onsite solutions that are ready-to-use, complete with necessary training.
